Each comprehensive golf performance program is based on the golfer’s goals, equipment, time constraints, and the data collected from the initial consultations.  The typical program lasts 6 – 9 weeks. Information related to the program will be accessible online via the golfer’s custom profile on the MyTPI website.

Consultation begins with a discussion of the the body-swing connection. It is critical that the golfer understand the physical requirements connected to producing an efficient golf swing.

Next is the Golf Specific Functional and Physical Evaluation which begins the development of the training program.  This series of functional screens and physical testing will help diagnose any dysfunctions relative to the golfer’s current levels of balance, posture, mobility, stability, power and coordination.    If any dysfunctions are identified during the evaluation, a series of corrective exercises will be performed to clear and remove these limitations.  Focus will be on developing the physical performance factors prior to moving on to advanced training technigues.

A video swing analysis is recommended to help determine swing efficiency and isolate any mechanical breakdowns, or swing faults.  The golfer’s physical capabilities will be matched with their swing compensations and the appropriate motor skill drills will be added to the custom designed golf performance program.

Anytime is a good time to start a golf performance program but the off-season is the ideal time for a golfer to develop a good physical foundation for the golf swing.
